Hi I am about to buy a 2012 NW Pajero with factory GPS fitted. My question is can you load Oziexplorer on it and how? Thanks in advance Brian.

Hi Brian P

As far as I know the Mitsubishi MMCS runs a modified version of the whereis mapping software. It won't run Oziexplorer. Have a look at the Pajero 4WD Club site. Just about anything you want to know about Pajero is there.

No it won't. The unit only runs the Sensis or whereis & is fairly useless. I have a second GPS which runs all my other maps especially Ozi. The Multi Media sytem in the Pajero also has a motion detector fitted to disable any useage whilst the vehicle is in motion so the driver & PASSENGER cannot operate same. There is a cable you can purchase which by passes the MD & is sold by a guy who is a member on the Pajero Club Of Victoria web site. Good luck with the new vehicle we have a 2009 VRX auto diesel & it is by far the best touring & towing vehicle I have ever owned. Happy Trails. Robert.
