Water over Calliope Weir

This morning water was flowing over the old weir at Calliope. We tried to camp on the village side of the river but everyone was parked in mud. We just spent the night at the road closed sign. (Due to flood damage several years ago, the road over the weir is closed) Image Could Not Be Found

Most of NSW north of Newcastle has rarely gone more than a few days without steady rain for months so it is all pretty damp.

Geez Rob - the big wet in the dry season!

My nephew is up your way at the moment hauling 90cm barra out of the Calliope.
