Was it the first motorised crossing or the first by a 4wd - I understood there was at least one 2wd crossing as far back as the 20s.

Hi Garry,
Ted Colson was the first European to cross the Simpson in 1936 with Camels so no vehicles before then. Sprigg was the first Motorised crossing in 1962.
