Hi everyone,
a couple of week ago I had my LC serviced (230,000) and new front brake discs fitted. The front bearings were also taken out and repacked. While out on a bush track two days ago I selected L4 and while it went into L4 quite
well and the dash indicator light came on, I was left with no low 4. This was the first time I have tried L4 since the service. I had used the L4 about 3 months prior to that and all seemed to be working OK.
I will go see my mechanic as soon as I can but was just wondering if anyone has any ideas as to what may be the cause?
Cheers
Kev

100 series have had quite a few failures of the electric actuator that engages L4. A small alloy arm inside the unit broke on
mine but of course the entire thing had to be replaced. After 25 phone calls to wreckers all up the east coast I eventually found one suggesting it's a common problem.
After the fuse that's where I'd look next.
