A good spot to stop
Opposite the Bewong Roadhouse (hrs 6am - 6pm)
Enter rest area from the north bound lane or roadhouse drive only, not from the south bound lane.
Large sealed parking area suitable for all lengths and widths of vehicle.
Grass along edge covers sharp gravel and is unsuitable for tents.
Pit toilets byo paper.
Very quiet on hwy between 10pm and 5am
Safety lamps light up the rest area between sunset and sunrise.
Covered picnic tables
Bins
Hot breakfast, coffee, newspapers available across the road
Pedestrian refuge island on highway between the rest area and roadhouse

Hi. You must be a heavy sleeper. The amount of trucks and heavy traffic that go past that stop (It is the Princes Highway) can be incredible at times, especially early hours. It is also a truck stop, as is the cafe across the road. That said, it is better than nothing if you are tired. Bob.
