We are looking at visiting Barrington Tops in September and looking for somewhere quiet to base ourselves. So I'm looking for feedback on the Moonan Flat Caravan park please. Has anyone stayed there recently? What's your impression - any feedback would be appreciated.

According to my Camping Around Aust book there is the Belmader Camping Area
next to the pub..seems to have all the right facilities. Phone is..65463130...oldbaz.

Just had a few days in the Barrington tops with snow & ice in the school holidays & some where on the way to scone we passed a property on left that did horse camps & was set up for campers by the creek, & looked like a good place to stop it was before Moonan flat had a sign hot showers etc, I can not recall the name but hopefully some one on here will no. we bush camped most nights,

That would be Camp Cobark on the eastern side of Barrington tops Moonan Flat is on the western side of the range.
Caravan park at Moonan flat I'm not aware of but there is a flat grassy area from memory opposite side of river just near the pub that I think you can stay at not much in way of facilities that I know off.
Try ringing the Victoria hotel Moonan flat sure they will be able to help

Stayed there at Easter. It is a grassed area next to the river with a swing bridge over to the Victoria Hotel pub. Cheap meals, good beer, friendly people. Shower block has al the facilities and a fee is collected each morning, was $15 a couple. Police station straight opposite and safe area. Not a caravan park as such, but a well equipped camping area.
