Good morning all (It is raining in down town Wardell/Ballina NSW just thought you would like to know that)
Has anybody had anything to do with this mob ?http://www.satellitedirect.com/?hop=clickjc1
On the surface it seems a very cheap way of getting TV anywhere providing you have the necessary cables from laptop to TV.
Is it as inexpensive as it looks or do you download the TV show and need a huge amount of terrabites (whatever they are) from your inter net provider?
Thanks

Nothing is free - any video that you download over the internett is going to chew up you download allowance - it all depends on your allowance, how much you are paying your internett provider for it, and how much you watch. How long is a piece of string?

Peter M

I agree with you about the weather around Ballina now. Not nice.

A couple of years ago I paid up but did not get any value from this mob. I persevered for a while but I would not go back there. Some channels were not working and some had old programs.

Save your money.

Cheers
DW.

Just for TV you just need a basic VAST setup, no internet involved seehere for the type of setup needed, no ongoing costs

If you want internet while on the road anywhere then you need something like this

Nothing to do with the NBN, they might use the ANT system to provide internet in remote areas but there is nothing to stop the individual buying the ANT setup and having it to use while on the road.
We've been travelling with two other couples who both have the ANT system, there is something slightly obscene about being camped in the middle of the Simpson with full internet access including VOIP.

Thank you all.
If it looks to good to be true then maybe it can't be trusted

You would need an internet connection everywhere to do this, it is internet tv if you like not satellite. Satellite TV would work anywhere virtually via the satellite dish, from what I have seen of these channels it's very junky or lots of american sport type programs.
