G'day all,

The wife and I are considering taking the caravan over to the Head of the Bight to see the whales, and was wondering if we could get some current or recent prices for DIESEL at the following places:
Pt Augusta, Kimba, Ceduna, Penong, Yalata roadhouse and Nullarbor roadhouse.

Any assistance greatly appreciated.

cheers,
glids

Came through there early this month, can't give an accurate cost on diesel as I only fuelled in Port Augusta @ $1.529 p/l.
Also Yalata has been closed for quite a while now.
Cheers

If you're going then the fuel cost is not a factor but more an excuse not to, as it's not that far. Just put an extra $70 in your wallet and that will cover the return trip fuel price fluctuations and probably a couple of pies too!
So the question boils down to "can you afford $70 extra to see the whales" ? - Of course you can - have a good trip!

Ceduna (Shell or BP), Penong (Caltex) and Nundroo (?United) are all about the same price and on current prices I'd expect them to be about $1.52 a litre.
Nullabor is one of the most expensive stops for diesel and is usually about 30-40 cents per litre dearer than the others. I like to get fuel at Penong - it is a truck stop that is popular with the truckies, so you'll always get fresh diesel there.

Hi Glids

When are you going?, as we are through there in just over a weeks time. I can post the pricing when we get back. Like above, Yalata Roadhouse has been closed for a good number of years now.

Cheers
