Sandy Blight Junction

We are off again on Sunday from Newcastle. Cameron Corner, Lyndhurst Via Strzelecki Track, Then Oodnadatta Track to Marla.
From there the Mulga Park Road to Yulara. On to Giles then back track onto Sandy Blight Junction Road to Kintor.

Back to Alice via Garry Junction and eventually home via the Plenty Highway

It will be our first trip in the 200 Series Cruiser GX as well as the Aussi Swag Camper Trailer. I have packed a tool kit ( One Screwdriver ) LOL as there is not much I could fix on the Cruiser if it stops. I miss the old HJ 80 already !!!

Cheers

Wayne
You really need to add another screwdriver to ya kit mate, the 200 has got both phillips head and flat screws in it LOL.
Hope you enjoy your trip and don't need either of them screwdrivers !!
Cheers

Its one of those screwdrivers that you can swap the blade over. One end is Phillips the other is Flat. All sorted LOL

I dont know what to expect economy wise. My old Turbo HJ80 averaged 19 to 20 lts per 100.

I am hoping for better with the 200 TTV8. If I keep the speed down I am thinking 17 to 18 lts per 100. Trouble is I tend to travel a little faster with this vehicle as it dose not know the trailer is even there. I have been averaging low 14s traveling around with out the trailer.

It is a great vehicle I agree completely with that.

I posted a report up on my Canning Fuel usage Thread 97185 so would expect something similar or maybe better. There are some reports that say if you have the ECT power on you get better figures - still not conclusive as yet but a much better drive

Interesting figures Cookie.

Looks like I will have to revise my estimation up somewhat.

Hi Wayne,

we're leaving the Central Coast Saturday and sort of heading in the same direction but a different way.

We're heading up through Bourke and Thargo to Boulia. On to Alice by the Plenty, then across the Gary Junction Rd to 80 Mile Beach.

We'll have three 80 series', 2 roof top tents and one towing a camper. Might bump into you somewhere, you never know.

Hoo roo,
Steve

Have a safe Trip
