I was wondering if anyone can confirm if the Diamantina Developmental Road between Quilpie and Windorah is sealed all the way? Also the Thomson Dev Road between Windorah and Longreach?

We left Longreach on the 22 July and went that way to Toowoomba. The only unsealed section then was because of a detour due to major road works near Stonehenge, but the dirt was still in good condition and we wanted to see Stonehenge anyway. Fantastic country along that drive, but watch out for Emus, heaps our that way. Kevin

Between Jundah and Stonehenge turnoff there is a native well on the left side of the road and there is a lookout at the top of the range just before Stonehenge turnoff which faces to the north.

Stonehenge is a very short side trip but is another isolated outback town.

All that country should be looking a lot better than last time I was there

Alan, you mean this well....

Unfortunately there is no info there to tell you what the well is all about. I did mention it to a traveller and they said the indigenous locals would not allow any info to be displayed. Not sure if that is correct.
The look out you mentioned is also a free camp area, no facilities but you can have a fire and it is a great view. Kevin
