Wife and I are thinking of heading off with the van to travel and work around Australia, any tips? Come from a agriculture back ground, trade qualified fitter/turner, diesel fitter. Don't know how long we want to go for or where to head....

Wh your qualifications you should be able to pick and choose. The rural sector is always looking for good people.

Just pack up and go - you will have a ball.

Gday Lohn
Did you walk that crossing first or just send the wife with the camera?

Just do it, there are countless people out there looking for people with your qualifications, even in the caravan parks, you will be surprised at what you will wind up working on, my mate is a painter working his way around and made the mistake 18 months ago of stopping overnight in Karratha, he started work the next day and is still there. Go and do it everyone you meet up with will have advice and best of all where to stay away from. have fun and enjoy
