Life Member - Doug T (NT)
The 6 year old Lightforse 170's were not performing any good over the last 2 years, I went into Oposite Lock in
Orange yesterday and was going to get a new pair at around $360 mark, the sales assistant suggested I just buy the lens at $89 each, after all they do just screw off and the mount brackets were OK, even after rounding up Buffalo's and knocking a few A.O.T....
He was going to order them in for me but decided to take the lens off the 2 that were on display, I thought that was very good service.

dunno Doug, I suppose he saved you $180 - but $180 for two bits of glass? Yet another $180 would've got you a full set of lights? Sorry to pi$$ on the old parade but I suppose it's a glass half full/half empty one. I've a fair bit of "decorating" to do on my jelopy and really, some of the prices..........
I noticed one of Rhino's products, made in Australia, retailing at $699 here and $100 cheaper in the States. Asked them for a shipping cost but they said they couldn't sell to Australia due to a trade agreement. So, it is shippedfrom here to the US and sold there for $100 less despite the shipping cost. Buying overseas goods for less is one thing but when it's made here, then shipped overseas and sold for less there tells me we're being ripped off big-time.....and don't even start on casravan and camper prices here.

I agree Steve, I have to laugh when i see campers with prices over $40 000. Also there are web sites that buy goods on your behalf and then redirect that to you to avoid the trade agreements.. Michael

it's just not the glass , which is very tough plastic on LF lights, it's the whole body really and It wouldn't make sense to pay another $180 to get the mounts when
mine are perfectly OK.
The part I marked out is what you get as a replacement.

may i suggest you get some anti-theft nuts off Derek and also my 170's still look brand new after 4 years...Why don't you put covers on them too....Although i have yellow on in the
pic,i have clear also,They come in blue too...

I guess yours would look ok after 4 years, when I got
mine I had covers for them but when I travels 1000's of K's as sometimes rear Pilot the covers got grit blasted from the truck , I will be getting another set of covers from OL next week.
