Warren River/Yeagarup Beach WA

Image Could Not Be FoundHi folks, just wanted to share a pic I took recently down on the coast near Pemberton of the Warren River surging into the beach at Yeagarup. One of the main reasons I bought a 4WD was to explore and photograph parts of my own backyard that I have never had access to before and am really excited at some of the images I have captured in the last few months on my travels. Look forward to sharing some more with you all soon!

Craig

Like the colour effect, Craig. Almost like an Antarctic scene.

If you don't mind, I might............err, just sit here on the sand and watch you have a surf. Water looks a bit cold, and dark!!!!

Keep the photos coming,

Bob.

Can't remember most of it.

Image Could Not Be FoundThanks Bob,

The effect comes from the Neutral Density filter I use to allow me to use longer exposure to get movement in the sky. Gives a bit of a blue cast which can be removed but I kind of liked it with this pic. Funnily enough I did surf earlier that day and it WAS cold and I was terrified of sharks. My girlfriend pretty much said exactly the same as you but gee it makes you feel alive!

Ha ha, she's one smart lady, Craig.

Remember your comments in your blog, was it at this beach, about the possibility of unwelcome fellow surfers.

Stay safe,

Bob.

What made you feel alive?
The cold,
Or the thought of that really big hungry shark out there?

Both! Senses were heightened on all fronts and quite a buzz coming in safely. It was only a couple of weeks after this that Ben Linden was tragically taken at Wedge Island. That has certainly made me think again as it's happening far too often off our coast.
