It was reported in today's newspaper that Ford were recalling the some PF & PK (Including Wild Cat) model Rangers for a serious welding fault with the Tow Bars.
If you have one get it checked out as the Tow bar could fail towing heavy loads.

Thats important news OzJohn can only imagine the possible disasters if Tow Bars were to give way.

Hi Steve, I own a pathfinder ti 550, I have not heard of any tow bar malfunctions, with this vehicle, is there any chance you could expand on your comment please as I would like to know as I have been talking to Nissan about a maybe situation and the have told me that my towing equipment is OK to use on this vehicle, if there is a problem I would like to know what it is. Thanks for the info in advance.

Hi Broodie H3
The problem was a few years back and happened most frequently when a load leveling device was used on the hitch (one that restricts the movement on the ball) also some dealers were using the wrong grade bolts when mounting the bar
Cheers Kev

Thanks for that Kev, I will go and have a look on the Nissan
forum and see if anyone is having problems with the newer ones, once again thank you.
