Old dog
G'day fellas, it's the old dog ere, I have a 2001 Troopy and want to mount an electric winch to her but my bull bar is too weak to mount it directly. I need to fabricate a mounting plant to the chassis rails and was wondering if anyone had one of these animals locked away somewhere and wanted to sell it. This would save me a lot of time making one myself. Let me know ay.

G'day Old Dog...you can buy universal winch cradles of Ebay by a company called Road Runner Off Road for under $100 ,Im not sure what they are like but it might solve your problem as they are a item.

G'day Walter, I found the winch mount on Ebay and I know that it's hard to gauge how it really looks by a photo but I was wondering if anyone has seen one in the flesh because it just looks a bit light in the picture.

G'day old dog...maybe message the seller and inquire about the gauge and type of plate that has been used in the fabrication...it might be fine when welded up to your existing bar ....???

i got a TJM, or arb 75 series bull bar.
fitted it to my hj47.
cut the top off the bar where the winch will sit, as it wont fit.
folded up some 3mm, had to notch that out too as it hit the ends on the winch.
ran another plate up on the front, to match the top one thats folded.
done alot of winching privett, damn that stuff is in the ground good, winched myself out heaps, bogged..
strong as.
might have confused you, as hard without pics..
but one day ill make a new bar, look pretty good when i get around to it.
i was in a rush, trip to fraser to fit it, and still same to this day. 5years later.
