Hi All
Can anyone give me road conditions from
Normanton across to
Borroloola please.
Looking at traveling in the next couple of days towing a 20 foot van.
Cheers
Laurie

Hi Laurie, we have just completed just that but from
Borroloola to
Normanton. Be prepared for some rough roads, plenty dust and some severe corrugated sections. our van is a 22 footer and at
burketown and
Normanton we found bolts and screws completely dislodged. we let the tyres on the car down to 30psi and on the van to 25psi. This did help but still loose screws and bolts. At
Normanton we spend a day cleaning dust in the van and car. However having said that, I would do it again. Some beautiful scenery along the way and coming from
Burketown, when you reach Hells
gate the track gets considerably better with long stretches of bitumen. Robinson River is a
great camp spot, particularly on the East side, just go down the dirt track about 500 metres and there is a
great camp site, overlooking the river. Good luck. Cheers

Thanks George
You are not currently in
Karumba are you. What sort of van were you towing and with what vehicle?

Laurie you might want your tyre pressure to be a few psi less than 30 as well mate.
