For anyone interested I just installed the after market air con pollen and dust filter (two separate filter pads) to the fresh air intake on my Sons 2008 GU Patrol since Nissan are too miserable to install one for the AUS market. Tools required were a phillips (to remove the glove box) and a Stanley knife to remove the factory marked cut out section of the intake duct. Took about 20 minutes all told. I envisage that the filter pads could be serviced/replaced in about 10 minutes (including glove box remove & replace)
