G'day Rod ,I also tried to buy them local some time ago and ended up gettin 3 in from the US via ebay and they are the best thing since sliced bread with a good recoil and plastic coated stainless cable which is simalar to a fishing line trace, and after using them for the past 18 months i wouldnt be with out them as its a lot easyer now to keep the eyes on the road instead of trying to fumble around with the mic bracket,as for how they attach to the mic...they have a adjustable loop at the mic end which is a universal fit.
