We are thinking of going to
Emu Rock, out from
Hyden for the long weekend at the end of September- some of our friends only have 2 wheel drive cars. Could someone tell us if we can get into
camp, vis Bushfire
Rock Road, without 4WD. Thanks for your help. Janice

Hi Lejay,
Can't comment on Bushfire
Rock Road, however along the
Holland Track from the
Hyden Norseman Road would be no dramas for a two wheel drive as would the back way from
Hyden Lake King Road.
Track to Emu Rock
Plaque at Emu Rock
Track adjacent to Emu Rock
Back way
Nice place for a
camp.
Cheers
Alan

Hi Janice,
Can't help with information on the entry from Bushfire
Rock Road.
In good conditions, yes you can get to
Emu Rock from the
Hyden Norseman Road, through the Rabbit (AKA "Vermin") Proof Fence.
In bad conditions, do not give it a thought.
Emu Rock is a great place to visit in good conditions and we have seen some amazing wild flowers, especially
spider orchids.
Enjoy your trip and consider that there are other
places that may suit your weekend away, like the
Breakaway Camp-site. Good facilities. Stunning colours.
Cheers,
Wayne & Sally.

Thanks for that. I did wonder how the road would be after a lot of rain. We'll take it as it comes, and
the Breakaways was another option. Appreciate your help. Regards, Janice
