Hi,
Looking at buying a UHF. These 3 are all around the same price as far as I can find ($375 - $400)
ICOM IC-400pro
Benelec BL-2000
Vertex VX-2200
What's the difference between these models? They all seem near identical.
I guess my main questions are:
Programmable Watts? (25w, 45w??)
Programming Software. (do they all use the same software? if not, what the diff?)
Ease of use. Any difference?
Any help would be appreciated!

In my searching alot of these threads get irrelevant...
Please do not suggest any other models.
Please do not comment on the legal watt.
(I do not break the law.)

The Benelec looks like an Icom alright, might be made for Benelec, under license or something like that.
While the Vertex is a bit similar, it's not indentical. The CB version with the extra commercial channels only has 5 watts. I'd want more if going commercial. Would steer away from them unless you can get some positive
feedback. Might be like an Orric........oops!!!
If Icom is one of your picks, then there's your answer.
Benelec make good UHF aerials.
Sorry, not allowed to say anymore,
Bob.

From what I can find it seems:
ICOM IC-400pro - 25Watt
Benelec BL-2000 - 25Watt
Vertex VX-2200 - 45Watt
&
ICOM IC-F6021 / 6023 - 45Watt
(not sure about the IC-F602X - I think the number relates to the pre-programmed region set-up, I'm guessing this could be easily fixed by re-programming?) - Can Find it on eBay from the US for $350 shipped or Local for about $450...
