Hi Guys,
I would like to increase the performance and economy of my Pajero with an exhaust upgrade without the noise becoming intrusive. Anyone have any ideas or have do the conversion?
Your comments would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Richard

Richard,
Check out the Redback Exhausts website.
I don't know about the Paj, but for many Toyota models, they have 3 exhaust kits.
First is no muffler, LOUD even with the turbo engines.
Second is a sports type muffler, lot quieter, but do tend to drone at constant revs, and highway speeds.
Third is what I ended up with. Muffler is about size of 1/4 acre house block, similar in size to OE muffler, and pretty quiet.
These are all 3" pipes.
We had a 3"
Beaudesert Exhaust on an 80 series Tojo, and it had a very distinctive note, but not overly loud. Did drone a lot on h'way too.
Bob.

Hi Richard.
I have a 3" system(from turbo).
Not noisy & definitely no drone whilst driving. The system has a free flow cat, muffler & rear resonator.
Cheers.
Vince
