EOTrackme

Can anyone step me through setting up EOTrackme on my iPad 3, it is not a Next G model but I have Dual Bluetooth GPS synced to it plus my 4G Telstra Dongle.

I downloaded UTrackme HD and selected ExploreOz but after the "tick" nothing happened, no windows opened for more info etc, now I have my name listed on the Right hand menu but all it says is it is liiking for a GPS fix.

I am now in Augathella en-route to Aurukun... heeellpppp......

Regards
Mick

Hi Mick,

Just did it yesterday, the system is slow, so don't give up.

On the UTM app, once you tick the UTrackme HD box, you need to go up LHC (on mine) & click the settings drop down box, this is where you put your membership number in.

Then follow the documentation on the exploreoz web page & you can' t go wrong, but it is slow IMO.

Good luck

Tony,
What part is slow? The Pad waiting for GPS fix or something else?

Mick,
Nothing much will happen until the GPS fix happens. The UTM app does not send anything till the fix is within a few hundred metres but it will only move once the GPS fix is sorted.

Hi David,

This may well be the reason why it is slow? But a lass in the HO also said there was a problem in the system that was being sorted out & that may also have contributed to it being slow.

OR

Maybe my "slow" is not realistic to what the system delivers?

Hi Guys, now in Longreach. I waited 10 mins a few times but still searching fror GPS, the EO instructions say that a further info box will appear so I guess this happens after the GPS has locked in..

Don't you just love technology, its all that it takes a bloke to go grey!

I will give it another go as possibly the broke bit is now fixed.

Thanks again and hopefully I wont need to avail myself of your help

Regards
Mick
