Came across this battery load tester from Projecta, selling for $85-.
Small and easy to carry and use, thinking its quite a handy unit given we seem to have so many damn batteries in the truck these days.
Are they any good, thoughts?

John,
I've got one similar to the one on top left, only mine is chrome. Was about $80, in Mt Isa, some years ago.
Have only used it a few times, but reckon they're good value, as will give an accurate reading of battery under load. Not something you'd use everyday, so should last forever.
I put a photo of it on a recent thread, last week.
Bob.

Thanks Bob, thats the one.
I have now got the price down to $45- delivered without the Projecta sticker on it.
So I reckon at that price its worth it.

Shop around I think I paid around the 45 mark for mine and they are
well worth it and load up better than the electronic ones. Get one they are great

Thanks Howesy
Yeah have found a supplier at $45 delivered also.
I figure at that price they are a reasonable bit of gear to assist with overall battery management.

Good morning
The tester in the main picture looks like the one we had when I was an apprentice in the early sixtys....
