I have a set of Blitz's. They are the same light as the newer XGT's as far as the type of globe, amount of light and reflector quality etc. The difference between the XGT's and the older Blitz's is simply the black housing. The Blitz's use an adjustable housing which has an angled stem leading down to the mounting base. This base plate is about 20mm hogher than the lowest part of the light itself. This made it difficult to be mounted on certain bullbars etc.
The XGT costs about the same as the Blitz's (around $400- I think for a pair).
The XGT shares the same body as the HID (High Intensity Discharge). It is these HID's which are the big $$$$$ items, at around $1,150- EACH.
So, the XGT and the HID look the same at first glance.
Hope this helps. I love my Blitz's.....
