I recently bought a set of 4 of these "bluescrew" tent pegs to try them. I got a set of 4 small ones and they held up really
well in soft sand during some pretty strong winds holding up my tarp on the weekend. I was so impressed that I got another set of 4 small ones and 2 big ones for the next trip.
No affiliations etc, but I thought these were a great product that did a great job in sand. My steel pegs were of no use. These may be what some people are looking for.

They look like they work good and $16 isn't much.
I'm going to have a look at the 4x4 Show at Eastern Creek on Friday.

Thanks for letting me know about these, I could do with a couple of sets so I ordered them. Handy for the boating I do and the camping.

OK further investigation on the Bluescrews has delivered this:
1. Sontax do not sell the Bluescrews anymore, sold all stock off to someone..?
2. Bunnings do not sell these anymore, although they still deal with Sontax.
3. Bluescrewtentpegs.com is the only known outlet.

Confirmed $2 at Malaga, WA.
I just purchased 5 packets (20 genuine Bluescrews), for a whopping $10!
They must still have over 100 packets left easily, so get some if your in the area.
Read some reviews online, these things have been highly rated.
They are located in the back left hand side of the store, 3 isles along from the very back left corner.
