River Camping late Jan 2013

Hi All,

Spending a week in Yamba early Jan 2013 at a Caravan Park and then we are looking for a river camping ground for a week anywhere between Yamba and Newcastle (happy to go inland)....we have 8 ngts to fill in and we will be towing a 20ft Caravan (no ensuite)l....we would like a river camp ground/van park with amentities plus things to keep the 2 kids happy while we fish etc as well.

Any suggestions would be welcome :)

Cheers

How about the caravan park at Jackadgery west of Grafton. It is right on the Mann River with drives available into river front areas and the national parks further along the Gwyder Highway towards Glen Innes.

Hi Daniel W2,
Try the Jackadgery Caravan Park up river from Grafton, there is a pool, you can have a fire, you can swim or fish in the river, 4x4 driving, take a trip up to 2 world heritage National Parks 40 minutes away.
Hope that helps

We just spent the weekend at Cundle Flat Farm, inland from Taree. Friendly, easy going camping on the Manning River. Little rapids to play in, deeper water to paddle or swim in or fish. Good clean amenities with heaps of hot water.
I can recommend it highly.
