I would like to get a larger and better fridge with a decent freezer. The little 3 way fridge I have at present is rubbish. It is not big enough for more than 2 chooks in the freezer and aside from the size, we have the dickens of a time keeping the internal temperature low. I met a couple who have a Eva Kool and she is thrilled with it and it even keeps her icecream rock hard (and we had both been free camping for at least 4 days at the time).
I need help finding retailers. Anywhere on the east coast is accessible for me.
I would welcome other people's experiences too on upright fridges for motorhomes. We do like to be as self sufficient as possible and run additional batteries and solar panels for supplementary power.

I just purchased an Evakool IB65 (now called IB70). It is a new model Evakool offer with a separate frig and freezer compartment, with separate lids. Separate digital temperature settings means you can set individual compartment temperatures as freezer or frig or both freezer or both frig. Plenty of options, danfos BD50 compressor, a 5 year warranty, all for under $1000. It really works well and I am happy with it. I bought it direct from them freighted to Brisbane overnight.Check it out.

I noticed the other day while in there Aussie Disposals are now selling them...

I have the RF60l fridge/freezer.As you've noticed if anything they are over efficient, can freeze stuff easily..Make sure you get there Wireless thermometer,I keep mine on the Sun visor in the Hilux,But you can put it anywhere up to 10 metres i think...Even on the table while your eating..

Goodluck..

Oh also they have a refurbished site too where you can save some $$$

I will keep a note about Aussie Disposal. Your comment about over efficiency is noted (note to self don't put tomatoes and bananas in fridge! LOL)
As for the themometre, we have a laser type that was a 'left over' from work. Very handy. On our present fridge we have an external thermometre which measures both the internal temperature and the outside (but inside the caravan) temperature.

Hi All, There doesn't seem to be much int he way of reviews for the Evakool IB65 or 92.
I'm thinking of buying one of these in preference to the engel 57 or 75lt fridge/freezer MT60FCP or MT80FCP. Does anyone have experience/opinion for and against?
