On our travels we have seen some UV shades that are on a track that shade the fridge side of the caravan.
Just wondering if anyone has made one or knows where to buy them.
Thanks Julie

A piece of Sail Track along the van above the windows.

A length of 90% shade cloth as long as you need. Sew a piece of rope into the side to slide into the sail track.

Couple or so eyelets sewn into the bottom to tie it down, Bob's your uncle!

Hi Julie, we had a sail track fitted to the off side of the van when it was in for a service some time back, and made up an awning using 90% UV shadecloth from Bunnings. Added a couple of eyelets across the bottom (also from Bunnings) and sewed 4mm nylon cord into the top edge to slide through the sail track. Your standard Elna or such will sew shadecloth ok... you can source UV-proof cotton from a number of placed (ebay) or just go with standard cotton. We also used the 4mm cord for tie downs, coupled with tent guy rope springs and pegs. Or... you can buy an awing side (ebay again) and trim it to suit. Either way, it does help the fridge run more efficiently when camped with that side facing the heat of the day.

Cheers
Greg
