Has anyone used either or both the Powergorilla and Solargorilla portable rechargers by Powertraveller?
Did they meet your expectations?
Any pros and cons?
Any better small portable durable options on the market that you have used?

Hi Terra,
I have not used one of those devices but I think they are overpriced for what they do.

A decent solar panel, a good regulator and a couple of decent batteries and you can do anything, more or less, in regard to charging things or using things when out camping or travelling. Those devices are limited in their available uses in my opinion.

Please note that I said I have never used one so I cannot speak from personal experience. It is just a personal observation.

Cheers, Bruce.

Thanks Bruce,
I would go for a larger set up if I had a vehicle but I'm looking for something to carry in my trekking cart while walking. Something to keep the iPod, laptop, phones and camera charged enough to use for a couple of hours each day for up to 2 weeks at a time for 4 or so years.
One day i will be in the market for something bigger and have been looking at the rolling solar mats, just not yet.
Cheers
Terra
