This is a video I love to watch
UEV 440.
It's not the 490 but it's close.

Hi
John, I grabbed a 490 Evolution earlier this year, I'm happy with most aspects of it, on the negative side there were an unacceptably high number of issues which needed to be rectified after delivery.
I had missing tarps, wrong tarps, poles, fridge, you name it. While all was resolved amicably, the tyrany of distance made the whole thing somewhat painfull.
Undoubtedly they have improved their pre-delivery processes since then, however, I would suggest you walk through the set up and operation of every part of the unit before you drive away.
On the positive side, it's a great unit and lives up to expectations. Too many positives to list here but here's a few to balance my response;
Tows great at speed and offroad
No dust ingress
Adequate storage
Easy set up (especially for an over nighter, pull up and open the door)
Still some dickin' around with tarps but it is a crossover, not a caravan
Very comfortable sleeper
Solar/power set up has been perfect so far (yet to plug it to 240v)
The 90l National Lunar is more than adequate for 2 people

thanks mate , i appreciate your comments and i have definetely taken them onboard, I have since bought the 490 , and now i must find something to tow it with !!
although i must say i was at a dinner party recently and there was some surprise at me paying $70 odd k for something with no motor, anyway as i explained to my buddies over many drinks , i now need a a 4wd too,
so prado or land cruiser ?? do i get a new one and be a little precious with it ,or do i do the the 100 series thing bit of a paddock basher ??
I'm only diesel whatever i do . any suggestions ??
