Definitely closed until at least Cup Weekend. Even this weekend is no certainty as Parks Vic have been known to extend the closure period due to track damage resulting from storms and fallen trees. Best check with Parks Vic website or rangers office in Heyfield or Dargo.

Spoke with Rangers today who said Wonnangatta will be open for MC. Yes alot of tree damage although key routes should be cleared.
Cheers Craig......

Craig the main section of the Wonnangatta Valley & High Country side will be closed for another 3 weeks. Access to the bottom end of the Valley via the Crooked River is possible although recent strong winds will mean there could be alot of fallen timber. River heights in general have dropped to a medium level. 4 Wheel Drive Victoria have many clubs out over the next two weeks in conjunction with Parks & DSE clearing seasonally closed tracks ready for the Melbourne Cup Weekend.
