Hi Joe,
Just wondering where you are going to cut across, Dunbar or Gamboola?

Hi Lyn, we are in
Cairns at the moment, we have not yet made any roads plans yet but will probally just go up the best roads available and comeing back may venture down some tracks but weather will dictate our travels i guess ....

Make sure you
check the Weather Forecast.
Starting to get wet from the 21st October.
So if you are thinking of doing the OTT, I might think again.

Hi Kris, we are in
Cairns at the moment, the weather is dry for the time being so we are going to have a crack at it, we will go up the easy way and see how the weather is for the "tracks" but i dont hold my chances much eh ...... we were here 2 years ago same time and it was already flooded out so we are lucky ..... so far !!!!
Cheers

Going up next week Thursday, probably
camp at Charlie's
Mine at
Coen then on to
Bamaga Friday. There are four tombstone openings at
Bamaga on Saturday so want to be there for them.
I am not expecting serious rain, it is the dry season and a bit early for storms but you never know. Some rain to lay the dust would be nice.
The local ABC crew is doing Cooktown/Coen/
Weipa this week and reporting back on the radio and via Twitter.
My daughter is driving her Hilux up for the first time with partner and son. I may
well be travelling solo, wife going on ahead by plane and sons have work commitments. Least I won't get nagged and will have no arguments over choice of music. Kris Kristofferson, Redgum, Bullamakanka for starters. 70's and 80's stuff.
