Tibooburra western NSW outside the NPWS office - bloke had pulled up and went over to the Family Hotel for a beer - came back over towards his vehicle and noticed some liquid running down from his front hub on the Landcruiser - he looked - dipped his finger in it - smelt it - tasted it ! I had noticed this and said, "Hey mate there are a few dogs around town !" HE RAN FOR THE TAP !

Dogs are bored in Tibooburra and go to every new vehicle in town and mark there territory !Cheers, Beddo

More interested in your rig than the story - sorry man! Has it got the KZ-T or KZ-TE engine and does it run hot? Any cooling problems when you're in the deep sand etc? You've got the same body as my UK spec '94 runner (kzn 185) so have you found out how easily the wheel arch flares crush yet? Expensive to replace with OE ones so I was hoping you'd found a cheaper replacement - ant joy?

No have not crashed the flares yet and don't plan by sounds of it. No heating problems in deep sand - only heating problems is when travelling at high speed - and coming up steep hills on the highway - recent trip to the Kimberley I could only sit on 120Km as anything above would result in the temp guage going over half way and the result the air con would switch off. Steep hills on freeway will bring temp guage up towards the red but not to over heating. Just have to drop speed to 100 when traveling these bits if you want the air con to stay on. Doing slow stuff in sand or whatever in the Kimberley or Cape York did not see the temp go over half way. Very happy with the beast. If I ever do the radiator in though I will try and upgrade with a larger one so that the air con is not affected.Cheers, Beddo

The lady across the road from me her parents are heading up north this time of year and so they don`t lose any power in their suburu outback they are turning the aircon off and turning it back on when they are going down hill and they reacon they are going to save a lot more fuel.
They might but who wants to sit in 30-40 deg heat in a car too save a few dollars
