Rodeo/Colorado 4JJ1 Clutch Slave Cylinder Leaking
My Clutch went on my 07 4JJ1 Rodeo yesterday. I took the slave Cylinder off tonight and I can confirm that when these let go all the brake fluid bleeds into the bell housing. The boot and push-rod can not be seen external to the bell housing.
The Slave Cylinder Kit in FNQ from Holden is $52.00 (That is if it is the right one, do not get it until tomorrow)
This is something to be wary of as it is hidden. There was a large build up of gunk and thus rust starting inside the boot, I would say it is a mixture of worn clutch plate and brake fluid build up.
Mine has now done 130,000k and lots of
water crossings.
The first cup was totally U/S
Would suggest you check them at least every 100,000k
Regards Tony
