I have a pair of handheld uniden uh065sz and both have a BUSY signal that will not allow me to transmit or receive. Any suggestions?

Hi Paul,
Check if the transmit button is stuck on either unit or alternatively, check your squelch level setting - might be set too low and picking up the general radio static. Set the squelch to a higher setting to cut out the background noise.
Cheers

Not necessarily specific to that radio, but these handhelds often have a "mode" button somewhere that toggles as either ON or OFF (such as a monitor button) - if you have pressed such a button inadvertently, you can tie them up...if so, press it again and all might be
well.
