Good Evening Everyone,

Summer coming on, all be it soon maybe, need some help with insulation for the roof of our camper. Something similar to sizalation but with insulation between the foil covers, when we set up we can throw the insulation over the top of tent area and tie down with ocy straps.

Your advise/help would be appreciated.

Many Thanks Allan & Andrea

Hi Allen H, Complete Campsite make a insulation cover like you are after. Around $600 for a 4.8 x 1.8 They are at Lisarow on the NSW Central Coast.
I will be putting an order in soon for my own cover

Get one of those heavy duty silver tarps and suspend it above your camper, make sure you leave a gap. Works wonders in keeping the heat out.

I looked at different solar blankets and was put off by the cost, so ended up buying just a silver tarp and it works a treat. Hold it down with ropes and ocy straps and use a tent pole on each side to provide a gap. Kevin

As mentioned a tarp works wonders. We also used a peice of shade cloth. Just laid it on the roof. Would drop the temp hugely. Doesn't take much to doit. Certainly wouldn't be spending big bucks on anything special. Also works at helping keep the cold night air of you in the colder months.

Thank You to everyone who took the time to reply. Sounds like the silver tarp/shade cloth is the answer.
Thanks Again
