Hi , all , have been told that there is in place a possession limit on King George Whiting in S A now , can anyone confirm this for me , please . I do know they have been lobbying for it for quite a while now . Thanks , Lyn .

dont know if things have changed but the biggest whiting ive ever seen caught from the shore have have been a short drive from
adelaide
without letting to much go
the spot wasnt far from
middle beach , whiting over 50cm (measured with a pic I could try and dig up as
well as gar over 40cm and bream the size of pinky snapper )

You are allowed to catch 12 King George whiting per person per day or 36 per boat per day. The possession limit which came into effect on 30th Sep this year, is a totally different thing and it only permits you to have 72 fish of 7kg of fillets per person (ie in your fridge or freezer) at any one time. Not sure what areas you planning to fish in SA but just be aware there are two size limits for KG Whiting in SA as per the map below
