Stop here only if you have to. We spent three weeks touring around & met lots of fiendly locals... not none here. Town folk aren't that friendly. We'd been driving all day in hot conditions yet the guy at the caravan
park (who'd just turned the sprinklers off as we arrived) refused to turn them back on for a couple of minutes so our
young kids could play under them & cool down.
We didn't think it was a big ask.
Don't start me on the pub though. To this day I'm not sure of the person who served me was male or female but English was definately their second language. Tried to get a six pack of Victorian beer but it was like talking to a robot. I think from the jibberish the person was speaking they may have been Irish!!! Eventually, after being handed a stubby of 4X I didn't ask for, I was charged $26 for 6 Hahn Super Dry.
At the
Eulo Queen Pub we sat down & had a chat with the publican. Conversely, at the Thargo pub I felt like an intruder. Very poor service & couldn't wait to get out of this place.
