Hi all,
I recently came from a quick visit to
Mount Unapproachable in the stinking hot, humid and wet central desert.
Giles never made it hence the name, however he did not have the benifet of others information and GPS Navigation.
I wish he had never named it as such, as as soon as I read about it I knew I had to go there.
Here's a few pictures of it and the surrounding area.

I had to cross a thin section of lake to get there. Believe me I was nervous. I parked the Fair Maid at the base of the mount, which was about 450 metres from
the summit.
Cheers

Must have been a softer trip than usual, Alan? You don't seem to have much gear on board.
In
Boulia, eh? You going up through the Lynd to FNQ? It's a good drive, albeit a bit rough in some sections.
Thanks for the photos, you really know how to make some of us green with envy.
Bob.

Hi Bob,
Yes travelling very light this time, just the essentials.
At
Dajarra turnoff now, on to
Cloncurry then probably
Normanton.
Theres a
sign here saying road subject to flooding and its been wet here the last 12 hours at least, see how it goes.

Hi Alan,
Mount Unapproachable - you made it
well done! Great pics too.
You sure have been burning up the kms to get this far given the route you've chosen.
Stay
well, enjoy the trip and do look after Massie.
cheers
