I've seen these at the show last year, seemed to work ok on
the bench, has anyone got one? if so what are your thoughts, are they worth the money?
I know there only good for dry heat. I believe there sold by transcool

Tks Steve, that's a different mob to the one I've seen at the shows, but looks very similar product.
Wonder how good they are in practice

They should work ok.
You'd just have to consider how much power they draw, which the table seems to show.
The link says the Transcool are a copy.
Hoo roo,

Ours is a Turbokool and it's the best thing since sliced bread! Best investment made for our van and we even travel with it on when on on dirt roads as it pressurizes the van so no dust. We have both the 12 volt and 240 volt air conditioners and use the evap cooler more.
I can't speak highly enough of it and use it way more than we expected...just to circulate air, keeps dust out, keeps us cool, even just with the fan on when you want white noise with noisy neighbors, very versatile!
Love it!

Just be aware that if it is humid they will not work. All they do would be to make it more uncomfortable.
in dry conditions they normally work a treat, the dryer the better.
