Hi all..
I suppose this question has been ask plenty of times before but i have just purchased my first caravan and was wondering what people suggest is the best and safest cleaning agent to wash my caravan with.i have heard some cleaning agents aren't good for the exterior of the van so i'm a little bit lost on what to use.

Is your caravan made of fibreglass?
If it is do not use any wash and wax with silicone in it as it may yellow the fibreglass.

Hello BooBoo
I was just contemplating giving our fibreglass van a wash, possibly with polish in it. Glad I read your comment!
What wash do you suggest?

G'day Keith
Go to a marine
shop and ask for advice. That's what I did, and I'm glad that I did.
I remember speaking to a bloke in
Bundaberg and his van did get a yellow tinge and he was not a happy camper.
I can't remember the name of the stuff I use but it was about $27 a litre. I use it on my fibreglass canopy/pod on my dmax. It's a wash and wax from memory, so I use that every so often and use truck wash (yellow) as mentioned above, for a normal wash.
Hope that helps you

The truck wash you need has no silicone in it.

You can also use washing powder or washing liquid. It is just cheap and yet effective.
