ROFFEY FAMILY
Hi,
We pick our caravan up the second week in December and I have a 1 year old, who is a climber and a 3 year old that moves a lot in his sleep. Just trying to find out the best way to keep them in their bunk beds without falling out.
I have seen a bunk net made by Dometic which is $159 dollars each.
What other brands are out there and any other ideas we could use that any of you have tried past or present.
Cheers!

Check out some of the yachting mags & books under "lee cloths/boards". Should give you ideas to make some. Bill

We are currently looking into the same thing. We head off in April for the year with our 18month old and 5 year old. We were thinking about taking the van to a canvassing place and getting someone to custom make something. They will often make anything you can dream up out of mesh etc. I was picturing a fly screen type material so it was tough enough to stand them pushing on it to try and escape. One thing I used with my eldest sOn when he was a toddler was a kinder cot. At the time we had a Jayco camper trailer and just sat this on the bed but I think it will fit onto a standard bunk too. My only worry is that they may get too hot in it up north which is why we are going to modify the bunk this time. Hope to see you guys on our travels :)

Hi Rebecca,
Thanks for the reply I will definitely check something like that out. We pick our van up from Gosford (Central Coast NSW) about the 2nd week in December and we purchased a Newlands 22 foot with bunk beds, toilet/shower. What did you guys get? A wee bit excited we are a
young family and it's a huge step for us.
We are looking at heading off in June from the Hunter Valley NSW, Where are you guys based at? How long are you going for? Have you got an idea where you are going or are you just going to drive? What's your tow vehicle? We have a Mazda Bt50.
My email is sweet_peach_79@hotmail.com feel free to email me also would love to catch up with you somewhere along our travels.
Natasha!
