I have an '08 Hilux with 15" alloy rims. I also have a set of '00 Hilux chrome steel 15" rims. Will these do as spares for a trip. Do they have the same offset? Diameter and width are same.

Try fitting them up - they'll look fully sic though because there is a fair offset difference. They will hang out past the guards a bit.

G/day twinkles.
the stud pattern changed from 2004 possibly 2005 I got caught out with a set of later ones also, the early hiluxs up to 2009 seem to be the same then 1999 to 2005 they fit but have a different offset, as above 2005 onwards have a different stud pattern cheers Bill.

The standard factory alloy rims are plus 30 (or is it minus can't remember) and are different stud pattern to a 00 model
Have alook on ebay and there are usually plenty of suitable spares with the correct offset and stud pattern for not a lot of $$$

You could also pop over to the NewHilux site and post an ad in the Buy/sell section, there are lots of members there with spare wheels and tyres lying around.
