Is it possible to tow an offroad van along the coast track between Coral Bay & Exmouth or am I just dreaming ? The van is a 14ft Trackmaster towed by a 60 series Landcruiser.
Any experience / advice would be appreciated.

Hi RC,
The coast track has changed so much in recent years and with it, has come ease of access for caravans of almost all sizes. We travelled down the full length of the track from Exmouth to Coral Bay via Yardie Creek in August 2003 - we were amazed how many caravans were camped right along the coastline south of Yardie Creek. Once, this was quite tricky with soft sand, but the tracks are so well used now that there are lots of options for great spots with great views for caravanners to fully enjoy this wonderful piece of coastline. Go and enjoy!ExplorOz

RC,
When are you going to tow it ?
Last February there was no sign of water in Yardie creek.
And the track to Coral Bay was in very good condition.

Cheers,
Dmitri.

Last time I was there the exit point (Heading north) was a bit of a jump up. Not difficult at all but be aware of its possible existence.

Crossed Yardie two days ago ,didn't know we crossed it till we hit the tar (neap tides)one patch of soft sand should be no problem.First few kay's south were very corrugated, the rest is quite good.
