John Bashams 4wd survival guide..

Just received my book from the Exploroz shop..service as you would expect, 48hr delivery time WA to SA, just cannot ask for more.

-and the book, well the front page tells the story...what a photo, but I guess I am a tad prejudiced.

Well done John B, we can all learn from the efforts of wordsmiths that can articulate and present everyday problems so that we can all learn valuable lessons when travelling.

Oh, did I mention that I rate the photo on the cover;)))

My god you are full of it MJ! Besides the Nissan on the back is even better!

For all those interested, JB’s latest edition of the “4WD Survival Guide” has more than a few familiar EO faces contained in its 174 pages. John wanted photos that were more reflective of outback travel in this edition (the third edition) rather than the “staged” editorial shots so who better than the EO GDEC crew to supply them. Yes the cover has MJ’s troopy at Hanging Rock in Rudall and the mighty Tuck Truck on the Gibb. Anyone browsing through may recognise a some of my previous trucks as well as a few EO members and their vehicles;

Jaydub and suze in Blue Girl (80 Series)
Oz Hum Vee (Oh who’s that winching him out by the way lol)
Jack and BMJ in their trusty 80
Scott & Gaby in their Hitop camper (Bloody Canadians)
Equinox and his ute (pre canine co-pilot)
Outback Al K (Full time ballast, camel wrangler and bear bait)
Michael J and his troopy
And even my cousins bloody lawn rover!

JB’s done a great job updating the book over the past 6 months and it’s still full of it’s usual great info, it’s just accompanied by photos of a few blokes who have good heads for radio!Well done JB.

Don't worry Al Mac, the poor thing is now married and can't remember the good times and now has VikO as the full time ballast. He dare not mention that little item.

As for the 4WD Guide, another great effort from JB, worthwhile reading for anyone contemplating driving off the bitumen in a 4WD, or even buying one.

Michael J should indeed be very pleased with the photo on the front. JB would need a much bigger size book (A4 )to fit MJ's new vehicle on the cover.
