I am just wondering if anyone is using the Ipad app for camps6? I have the photo version and I love it but thought I might buy the app for my parents. They both carry ipads wherever they travel so I thought it might be an easier option just as long as it is as useful at the book. Would love some opinions.
Thanks,
Kelly

There was a discussion about the
CAW App on this
forum not so long ago.
Also a discussion on the Caravaners
Forum CAW App
There were a few favorable comments on both.

Hi Kelly
Have a look at Thread 98814.
I am using it and love it - but also use others like wikicamps.
Cheers
Anthony

Camps 6 ipad app is a bit too pricey for me, Kelly. Particularly when I just bought the book :)
If it were closer to the price of Wiki Camps, I would definitely consider buying it.

BTW the App is CAW App not Camps 6 App ie you do not have to buy Camps 7 when it is released early next year or a new app every 2 years after that. The price of the app and the book works out about the same if you buy a new book every 2 years when a new one is published and you elect to subscribe to the app updates.
If I was buying my first CAW and had an iPad I would go for the App.

Camps 6 or CAW. Semantics, if you know what I mean Rod ;)
I have Camps 6, which I bought only a month or so ago. So I can't justify paying the same price again for the CAW app, which essentially does the same thing. I'll just stick with the book and use WikiCamps, which only cost me a couple of bucks. Between the two of them I reckon I have my bases covered :)

Yep maybe semantics but there won't be a new Camps 7 app when the Camps 7 book is released early next year.
Personal choice though.

Thanks everyone, Might give wikicamps a go for now and go for the 'traditional' Camps6 for my folks for now. At least I know what they are getting. Might look into the app for myself when Camps7 is released (and maybe the price comes down or they remove the update price!)
