Opinions on Vanguard caravans

Hi guys,
Does anyone on the forum own or have any experience with this brand?
It appears that the dealer network around the country re-badge these vans with a model name to suit their particular area/state.
My son has just had a quote from the local dealer in Mandurah WA for a model known as a Bunker Bay. Apparently they can fit a Simplicity suspension under them but I am not sure just how "offroady" this makes them. He wants something that will not fall to bits on corrugations. They also do a range known as a Redback which do seem to be a bit more what I would term offroad but a fair bit more dollars.
