I have to replace the solinoid on the starter of a mates vehicle,not having worked on this make before i was hoping someone here might have experience with this job,it is physically difficult to even see the starter...any advice/replys would be appreciated thankyou...

There is nothing hard about it.... more then likely the two contacts in the solenoid have warn a bit thin, you can buy the contacts by them selves.
If you have the mechanical skills you should not be asking how..... if you don't have the skills ;get someone who has to do it.
Oh and don't forget to disconnect the battery :).
