Ken, who does your manufacturer recommend as a local service agent? What make/type is it? I'd be keen to know are we talking the portable variety here and how it performed.

Cheers Mick

Mick, I bought it from Saw Technology in Canada and they guaranteed it for 3 years. After it broke down they said their warranty was for 1 year only and I had to contact the manufacturers in China, Great Watt, for the other 2 years warranty. I can't get these people to reply to any of my emails. It's a great watt S600 (sold by Saw Technology as a smart airmov). We use it up in the northwest each year for about 6 months and it was working perfectly. We were more than happy with it. It was an 850 watt and put out between 0 - 18 amps.

We bought 3 of these for ourselves and friends and just one is still working!!! We are at a loss where to take it.

Thanks
Ken

That's a shame mate. I'd looked at a few of those as an alternative to solar when on extended camps. It's good of you to provide the details. May be a cautionary tale for others. I hope you manage to get it sorted.

Best of luck.

Hi Ken,

Try the yachting dealers, Bias Boating in Claremont, Whitworths Marine in Mosman Park, both of them are in Stirling Highway. Drop into the Fremantle sailing Club in Success Harbour in South Fremantle, you will probably see a number of circum navigating yachts with wind turbines in the marina, and there is a marine dealer in Capo D'Orlando Drive also in Success Harbour.

Best of luck, Jerry.

I haven't visited any of the above in the last three or four years.
