Hi all,

I am considering purchasing this weekend a 2008 Mitsubishi Pajero X NS 3door 3.2L Diesel auto with 110000kms on the clock.

Can anyone give their experiences of a Pajero and what you think of the above average KM it has. Is this an issue? Dealer wants 28k for it however i reckon a good deal is 26K with a 3yr warranty.

Are these good cars? I cant afford a Patrol or Cruiser with only 100k or less kms on the clock, however this vehicle comes into budget but offers a good all round 4x4 while being a good urban vehicle also. It drives really well also.

Any advice from you all much appriciated.

Search previous threads there are numerous dealing with Pajero, or Pajero V Prado.

My 2007 diesel Pajero which I have owned from new has 230 000km on it (I call 110 000km hardly out of the garage) and has had absolutely no problems, compared to new Fords & Holdens I have owned. Previous Petrol Pajero i got 200 000km over 5 years, again with perfect reliability.
As to price, "the market" (Trading post etc) will tell you have fair value is. Also consider Prado & Jeep

we have a late 08 5 door, diesel, auto model and love it. Its good on fuel with plenty of power. Our's has just hit the 110000k's as well. being an 08 it will still have the remainder of the 5yr-130000km factory warranty left. There are a few little problems with them but nothing to major. check out pajero forum to find out more

Hi Dan - Another Pajero fan.

Purchased our '04 model in 2007 at 71,000 - now 193,000 with only a starter motor failure to date.

First thing I did was put King springs in the rear to stiffen it up for the van - worked perfectly.

Trips across to Qld and twice to the NT without fuss.

Many more around our great state - Pilbara & southwest - very impressed with towing performance.

The 3.2 DiD seems to have heaps of power with good fuel economy & never appears to struggle. Great performer.

Regards - Phil

We have an 06 diesel np and love it. It is actually for sale at the moment but Only because it doesnt have a high enough towing capacity to tow the van we are getting. We itherwise would have kept it forever. It has 145000 ks on it and hasn't missed a beat. We towed a smaller van with it for nine weeks at one stage and it was perfect for this. We have $28000 neg on ours but it has roof racks, UHF, suspension lift, custom built rear drawers, electric brake controller, Anderson plug etc.
